RUTH ANN WALKER MCQUARTER

Ruth Ann Walker McQuarter entered into eternal rest on Saturday, April 23, 2022, at the age of 78. She was a native of Napoleonville, LA and a resident of New Orleans, LA. Ruth was a graduate of St. Catherine Sienna High School in Donaldsonville, LA. Beloved wife of the late Leonard Nelson McQuarter. Devoted mother of Andrea Marie (Haywood) Harrison, Andrea Reva McQuarter, Leonard Joseph (Sheri) McQuarter, Shonna (Edsel) Lang, and Jacinta McQuarter. Grandmother of Tye Golden, Jasmine Harrison Phillips, Rainiece Cox, Ryan Harrison, Leonte’ Richardson, Jazzmine Richardson, and Destiny Lang. Great grandmother of Isaiah Johnson, Tristan Golden, Maliah Golden, Layla Cox, Jacques Cox, Jr., Jai Cox, and Ry Cox. Daughter of the late Henry and Irma Walker. Sister of Edwin (the late JoAnn) Walker, Sr., Arnold (Donna) Walker, James Hugh (Mary) Walker, Theresa (Johnnie, Sr.) Knight, Evelyn (Charles) Carter, and the late Milter Walker, and Dorothy Mae Blaine. Godmother of Tracy Malveaux, Johnnie Knight, Jr., and Trenise McGhee, she is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Relatives and friends of the family also priest and parishioners of All Saints Catholic Church and neighboring churches are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial at All Saints Catholic Church 1441 Teche St New Orleans, LA. on Saturday, May 7, 2022 at 9:00a.m. Father Fred Kaddu Celebrant.
