James Malik Johnson, age 22, entered eternal rest on Friday, March 25, 2022, in Lake Charles, LA. He was a native of Metairie, LA and a resident of Laplace, LA. James attended East St John High School, and was a former employee of Sanders Farms. Loving father of Khalani Lashae Johnson. Beloved son of James and Mary Kay Varmall Johnson. Grandson of the late Alexander and Helen Tureaud, James and Barbaradine Johnson.   Devoted brother of Eric Duhone, Carleen Varmall, Nakeithta Varmall, Brittney (Jamall) Foster, and the late James Duhone. James is also survived by a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of Pilgrim Baptist Church of Kenner, Faith In Action Missionary Baptist Church of New Orleans, and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Funeral Service at DAVIS MORTUARY SERVICE, 6820 WESTBANK EXPRESSWAY MARRERO, LA on Saturday, April 9, 2022 at 10:00a.m. Rev. Dwayne Francois, officiating Viewing will be held from 8:30a.m.-10:00a.m. ONLY at the parlor.
