Yvonne Marie Dewar Wasso entered into eternal rest on Thursday, December 30, 2021, at the age of 81.  She was a native and resident of New Orleans, LA. Yvonne was a graduate of Jack Yates High School. She was a retired bookkeeper with F.W. Woolworth and a Bridal Shop. Beloved wife of the late Roy Samuel Wasso.  Devoted mother of Pamela Marie Love. Grandmother of Adrian N. Wasso. Daughter of the late Sylvester Dewar and Rita Blackwell Dewar. Sister of Kenneth Dewar, Roudolph Payne, James “Bomber” Payne, Juanita Chambers, Karla Jacobs, Debi Dewar, Yvette Dewar and the late Noel Lyles, also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Celebration of Life at Davis Mortuary Service 230 Monroe St., Gretna, LA on Tuesday, January 11, 2022, at 10:00a.m. Pastor George Simmons, officiating. Visitation will begin at 8:30a.m. until service time at the above-named parlor.  Interment: Woodlawn Park Memorial Cemetery, Westwego, LA.
