WILLIE RAYMOND COOPER

Willie Raymond Cooper entered eternal rest at The Sanctuary at Passage Hospice on Wednesday, March 6, 2024, at the age of 82. He was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Gretna, LA. Willie was a retired foreman with US Maritime Administration. Beloved wife of Elouise Marie Cooper. Devoted father of Latrice Cooper, Willie Cooper, Jr., Clinton Cooper, Gladys Cooper, Latoya Cooper (Elliott), Dominique Cooper (Sidney), Anjenette Cooper, and Catrina Griffin. Son of the late Joseph and Ophelia Cooper. Brother of the late Yvonne Cooper, John Henson Cooper, Ophelia Cooper, Mary Louise Cooper, Emma Cooper, Arthur Cooper, Calvin Cooper, Rose Cooper, Milton Cooper, Joseph Cooper, and Geone Cooper, also survived by 19 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also priest and parishioners of St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church, 455 Ames Blvd. Marrero, LA on Friday, March 22, 2024, at 10:00a.m. Father Sydney Speaks, celebrant.
