WILBERT WHITE, SR.

Wilbert White, Sr. departed this life on Wednesday, January 24, 2024, at the age of 51. He was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Gretna, LA. Wilbert attended L. B. Landry High School, and was a former employee of Avondale Shipyard. Beloved husband of the late Casandra White. Loving father of Wilbert White, Jr.  Son of Wilbert Byes and the late Annie White. Stepson of the late Darryl Johnson. Brother of Tramain White, Torrey Riley, Ramona Ussin, Sherrell White, Darrell White, and Vasha White. Uncle of the late Thomas White and Shermain White. Great uncle of the late Brandy Ussin. Wilbert is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Davis Mortuary Service, 230 Monroe St., Gretna, LA on Thursday, February 8, 2024, at 10:00a.m. Visitation will begin at 8:30a.m. until service time at the parlor.
