Wanda Jean Carter entered into eternal rest Ochsner Medical Center Main Campus on Monday, August 31, 2020 at the age of 63. She was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Bridge City, LA. Wanda attended McDonogh 35 High School, and was a former employee of Howard Johnson Hotel. Beloved wife of the late Joseph Carter. Devoted mother of Tamara Carter, Alfred (Lisa) Carter, Trenell Carter, Terrence Carter, and the late Tyniell and Gerald Carter. Daughter of the late Abe Fisher and Erleane Rose Thomas. Granddaughter of the late Rose Watson. Loving sister of Gilda (Richard) Lavigne and the late Emanuel Stewart. Aunt of the late Bernard Newman; also survived by 14 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of Loving Fourth Tabernacle Baptist Church and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Funeral Service at DAVIS MORTUARY SERVICE, 6820 WESTBANK EXPRESSWAY MARRERO, LA on Saturday, September 12, 2020 at 10:00a.m. Visitation will begin at 9:00a.m. until service time at the above named parlor.
