VIRGINIA FRUGE KELLY

Virginia Fruge Kelly entered peacefully into eternal rest at her residence on Wednesday, September 18, 2024, at the age of 65. She was a native and resident of New Orleans, LA. She was employed as a housekeeper with the Archdiocese of New Orleans at St. Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church in Algiers, LA. Virginia was full of life, always laughing and dancing, often proclaiming herself as the “best dancer of all time.” Her sense of humor, quick wit, and unforgettable sayings would light up any room, always leaving friends and family laughing. Beloved wife of the late Paul Anthony Kelly. Devoted mother of Shinette Kelly Stevenson. Loving grandmother Kiara Simmons, Keiara Simmons, and Paris Marie Fazande. Daughter of the late Clifton and Melva Fruge. Sister of Patrick, Clayton, Richard, and Judy Fruge and Juanita Sanders. Mother-in-law of Will Stevenson; also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Celebration of Life at Davis Mortuary Service, 230 Monroe Street, Gretna, LA on Saturday, September 28, 2024, at 10:00a.m. Visitation will begin at 8:30a.m. until service time.
