VERNA MAE GABRIEL

Verna Mae Gabriel entered into eternal rest on Thursday, October 27, 2022, at the age of 88. She was a native and resident of Avondale, LA. Verna attended Orleans Parish Public School System. She retired from East Jefferson General Hospital Dietary Department. Loving mother of Adrienne Lynn Gabriel. Devoted grandmother of Kamell, Tashera, and Jarmal Gabriel. Great grandmother of Abrienne Gabriel. Great great grandmother of Brayven Smith. Beloved daughter of John Gabriel and Ida Mae Henry. Stepdaughter of the late John Henry, Sr.  Sister of Alvin Henry, Gerald Henry, Donald Henry, and the late Galvin Gabriel, John Henry, Jr., Brenice Henry, and Leontine Olivera. Verna is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Service at DAVIS MORTUARY SERVICE, 6820 WESTBANK EXPRESSWAY MARRERO, LA on Saturday, November 19, 2022, at 10:00a.m. Rev.
