Vera Lee Harris, a homemaker, entered peacefully into eternal rest on Tuesday, January 18, 2022, at the age of 89. She was a native of Marks, MS and a resident of Westwego, LA. Vera was a member of Greater Destiny Outreach, where she was the mother of the Church. Beloved wife of the late Hazel Harris, Sr. Loving mother of Annie Grant, Hazel (Denise) Harris, Jr., Dianne Sam, Margie Mae Harris, Charles E. Harris, Cornell (Kim) Harris, and the late Rickey Lee (Louise) Harris, and Mary Harris Pierre. Daughter of the late Mary Evans. Devoted aunt of the late Lisa Tensley. Vera is also survived by 37 grandchildren, 40 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of Greater Destiny Church, True Hope International Ministries, and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Homegoing Celebration at True Hope International Ministries, 1228 Cohen St. Marrero, LA on Saturday, January 29, 2022, at 10:00a.m. Pastor Brian Walker, Sr., officiating. Visitation will begin at 9:00a.m until service time at the church.
