 Venesia Pate Stewart, age 69, transitioned peacefully into eternal rest on Monday, June 27, 2022, surrounded by her loving family. She was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Marrero, LA. Beloved wife of Irvin Douglas Stewart Sr. Loving mother of Irvin (Faith) Stewart, Jr. (Baton Rouge, LA), Valerie (Kevin) Davis, Sr. (Marrero, LA), Ron (Cynthia) Stewart, Sr. (Pearland, TX), Veronica (Kiran) Payton Sr. (Austin, TX), Aubrey (Keya) Johnson (Algiers, LA), Tracey, Gregory, and Dominique Johnson (Marrero, LA), and Jonathan Johnson (Manassas, VA). Daughter of the late Elvin and Lucinda Boyd Pate. Beloved sister of Elvin (Irma) Pate Jr. (Marrero, LA), Elder Jesse (Patricia) Pate (Harvey, LA), and Carol (Larry) Williams (Marrero, LA). Sister-in-law of Eva Rose Jones (Harvey, LA), and Barbara Stewart Benson (Monticello, MS). Venesia is also survived by her 24 beautiful grandchildren, four great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Relatives, friends of the family, members of Harvest Ripe Church, New Salem Church of Christ Holiness U.S.A. and neighboring churches are invited to attend the Homegoing Celebration at New Salem Church of Christ Holiness U.S.A. 5140 Mansfield Dr., Marrero, LA on Saturday, July 9, 2022, at 10:00a.m. Visitation will begin at 8:30a.m. until service begins.
