TYRELL DE'VANTE BOWERS

Tyrell “TY” D. Bowers transition to his heavenly home on Saturday, June 19, 2021 in Columbus, IN at the age of 17. He was a native of Gretna, LA and a resident of Columbus, IN. Tyrell was a graduate of Columbus East High School. Loving son of Kavonda C. Bowers and Christopher Ponds. Devoted brother of Jarell Bowers, Akia Pearson, Ja’Korey Ponds, Hunter Ponds, Logan Jones, and Ashton Ponds. Beloved grandson of Bryan and Emily Bowers, Joseph, and Kathy Dixon. Great grandson of Emma Thompson, Briddie Couto, and the late Gloria Ponds and Hamp Thompson. Nephew of Kwelia and Keandrea Bowers, Braijon, Michael, Reginald, and Darius Ponds; also survived by a host of other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of Progressive Church and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Progressive Church, 437 Cohen St. Marrero, LA on Friday, July 2, 2021 at 10:00a.m. Pastor Sterling Mealancon, officiating. Public viewing will be held from 9:00a.m -9:45a.m. ONLY at the church.
