Terrance Lendell Salvant entered into eternal rest at Ochsner Medical Center Main Campus on Saturday, March 22, 2025, at the age of 45. He was a native and resident of New Orleans, LA. Terrance was a graduate of O Perry Walker Senior High School, and he attended Delgado Community College. “DJ Silver”, as he was affectionately known by family and friends, was the owner of Black Candy Boutique, and a well-known DJ for over 30 years. Beloved son of Thomas (Lisa) Jenkins and the late Dianne Salvant. Grandson of the late Manual Gains and Lucy Salvant. Loving brother of Travis Salvant, Trene Salvant, and Tracy Salvant Martinez. Uncle of Shion Scott, London Salvant, and Shiheem Scott. Nephew of Carol Anderson, Barbara (Dwight) Holt, Janice (Rev. Leslie) Smith, and Wallace Brumfield. Cousin of the late Clarence Salvant, Altravia Anderson, and Oscar Kelly Anderson, Jr. Godson of Janice Smith and Aaron Troy (Michelle) Anderson. Terrance is also survived by over 30 godchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of Household of Faith, and neighboring churches are invited to a Celebration of Life at Household of Faith 2074 Paxton St. Harvey, LA on Saturday, April 5, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. Pastor Antoine Barriere officiating Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. at the church.
