TARA DENISE WOOLRIDGE JOHNSON

Tara Denise Woolridge-Johnson transition peacefully surrounded by her family on Friday, May 20, 2022, into the gates of her heavenly home at the age of 60. She was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Ponchatoula, LA. Beloved wife of Milton Johnson.  Mother of Tara (Reginald Dantzler), Lashona Woolridge, Abe Jermaine Lindsey, and the late Everette Woolridge Sr. Grandmother of Kriss Smoot, Bria Videau, Jercyra, Fredericka, Everion, Demyran, Everette III and Everyelle Woolridge. Daughter of the late Willis Woolridge and Mattie Lee Knighten Woolridge.  Granddaughter of the late Fernando and Maggie Woolridge, William and Mary Knighten. Sister of Willis, Jr., and Ernest Woolridge, Rutah Jordan, Peggy Cole, Diane Harrington, Willie Ann Woolridge, Lynette Peters, and Kathy Alexander, also survived 6 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of Star of Bethel Baptist Church and neighboring churches are invited to attend the Celebration of Life at Star of Bethel Baptist Church 2217 Harmony St. New Orleans, LA Wednesday, June 1, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. Pastor Leslie Sims, Jr., officiating. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. until service at the above-named church. Interment: Providence Memorial Park and Mausoleum-Metairie, LA.
