TANINA FATINA SMITH LAMPTON

Tanina Smith Lampton, affectionately known as “Teedy” departed this life on Thursday, February 20, 2025, at the age of 42. She was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Gretna, LA. Loving wife of Feddy Lampton. Devoted mother of Mariah Lampton. Beloved daughter of Franklin and Eartha Grant. Granddaughter of the late David Carter, Sr. and Bernette Smith Carter. Sister of Theresa Grant, Tiffany Grant, and Kynna Hunter. Niece of Tanina Smith Marshall, Bernadine Carter Herron, Thaggand Smith, Lodia Smith, Charles Smith, and the late Myrtis Fatima Smith, David Carter, Jr., Timothy Joseph Smith, and Derrick Smith. Aunt of Tamiyah Grant, Taliyah Grant, Mariah Grant-Bell, Terrance Grant, and Aiden Fuertes. Tanina is also survived by her mother and father-in-law Freddy and Debbie Johnson, and a host of other relatives and friends. Teedy will be remembered for her beautiful smile, sense of humor, cooking, and singing. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Celebration of Life at Davis Mortuary Service, 230 Monroe Street, Gretna, LA on Saturday, March 8, 2025, at 10:00a.m. Visitation will begin at 8:30a.m. until service time at the parlor.
