Sylvester “Sly” Gerard Isadore, Sr. entered peacefully into eternal rest on Wednesday, November 17, 2021, at the age of 59. He was a native and resident of New Orleans, LA. Sly, as he is affectionately known to family and friends, was a graduate of Booker T. Washington High. He worked as a Certified Forklift Operator/ Construction Worker. Sylvester was formerly employed with Langlois Construction and Freeman. Beloved husband of the late Chermaine Isadore. Devoted father of Keaunte Smith, Tamika, Deon, and Sylvester Isadore, Jr. Loving son of Lois Isadore and the late Rogers Isadore, Sr. Brother of Rogers Isadore, Jr., Harold Isadore, Dwayne Isadore, Madeline Coleman, Adeline Magee, and Chanda Williams; also survived by 8 grandchildren, and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of Franklin Avenue Baptist Church, First Emanuel Baptist Church, and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Funeral Service at DAVIS MORTUARY SERVICE, 6820 WESTBANK EXPRESSWAY MARRERO, LA on Saturday, December 4, 2021, at 10:0a.m. Visitation will begin at 8:30a.m. until service time at the parlor.
