STEPHANIE FAVORITE MOUTON

Stephanie Favorite Mouton, age 71, passed away peacefully at her residence on Saturday, October 28, 2023. She was a native of Gretna, LA and a resident of Atlanta, GA. Stephanie was formerly employed as a Security Guard with Vinson Guard Service at Zatarain’s and Shirley Seafood Market. Stephanie loved to cook and host her famous barbeques. She was known to her family as the “Barbeque Queen”. Beloved wife of the late Nora Jimmy Mouton. Devoted mother of Nicole Dale, Jimmy Mouton, and Valerie Mouton. Loving grandmother of Mitchell, Ireisah, A’Keem, Dearron, Ieron, Core, Coreal, Jamal, Laquin, Jada, and Jimmy. Daughter of the late Rebecca Favorite Bright.  Sister of Rebecca Green of California, Freddie (Pat) Young of South Carolina, and the late Ernest Favorite, Lawrence Favorite, Elton Johnson, Vernita Gaines, and Elizabeth Paul. Sister-in law of Gladys (Elton) Johnson, Mary Acker, and Linda (Johnny) Mouton. Godmother of Lynette Johnson. Aunt and best friend of Carolyn Johnson. Stephanie is also survived by her good friends Ms. Vivian, Ms. Linda, and Ms. Sheila, all of Atlanta, GA, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.  She was preceded in death by her beloved Clifton Baker. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Davis Mortuary Service, 6820 Westbank Expressway, Marrero, LA on Saturday, November 18, 2023, at 10:00a.m. Visitation will begin at 8:30a.m. until service time at the parlor.
