STEPHANIE JONES DIXON

Stephanie Jones Dixon, a loving mother and grandmother, departed this life unexpectedly at University Medical Center on Tuesday, December 7, 2021, at the age of 62. She was a native and resident of Marrero, LA. Steph, as she is affectionately known to family and friends, was a faithful servant of God and cared for many as a Private Sitter for over 35 years. Devoted mother of Lamont (Alberta) Alcindor, Terrance Antoine, Terrell Antoine, and Edwin (Troyniquea) Thomas, Sr. Beloved daughter of the late Allen Jones, Jr. and Doretha Paul. Loving sister of Anthony Jones, sr., Allen Jones III, Frances Brown, Clarence (Detdra) Jones, and the late Rosalie Alcindor, Elmo Alcindor, Jr., Evelynn Jones, and Sandra J. R. Carter. Niece of Gloria Robinson, Joseph Paul, Sr., and Elizabeth Paul. Stephanie is also survived by her devoted friends, Veraneese Walker Williams, Keith and Angela Walker, Jackie Williams, and Henry Smith, 18 grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church and neighboring churches are invited to attend the Celebration of Life at Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church, 1000 Walkertown Way, Marrero, LA on Friday, December 17, 2021, at 10:00a.m. Pastor Thomas James Brown, Jr. officiating Viewing will be held from 8:00a.m.-9:50a.m. ONLY at the church.
