SPARKLE STANWOOD DICKERSON

Sparkle Keion Stanwood Dickerson entered peacefully into eternal rest at her residence on Monday, May 15, 2023, at the age of 42. She was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Gretna, LA. Sparkle was a 1998 graduate of Warren Easton Fundamental Senior High School and continued her studies at Delgado Community College. She was employed for 15 years as a Beverage Supervisor with Harrah’s Casino. Beloved spouse of Delvin C. Dickerson. Devoted mother of Sage Robertson, DelMyron Dickerson and Skylar Dickerson; stepchildren Delkota Dickerson, Delmitri Dickerson and Ta’My Young. Loving daughter of Tracy Badon and the late Rickey Johnson. Granddaughter of the late Alex Stanwood, Emma Hebert Dennis, Edward Johnson, Sr., and Olivia Johnson. Sister of Keisha Stanwood Adams, Louis Stanwood, and the late Keith Stanwood. Daughter-in-law of the late Nolan, Jr. and Ruth Dickerson. Sister-in-law of Daryl Adams, Marlon Phoenix, Dwanna Dickerson Phoenix, and Raesheen Smith. Sparkle is also survived by a host of godchildren, aunts, uncles, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of Franklin Avenue Baptist Church and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Celebration of Life at Franklin Avenue Baptist Church, 2515 Franklin Avenue, New Orleans, LA on Friday, June 2, 2023, at 10:00a.m. Visitation will begin at 9:00a.m. until service time at the above named church.
