SILVINA R. WILSON

Silvina R. Wilson, age 84, entered peacefully into eternal rest on Wednesday, June 16, 2021. She was a native of Tylertown, MS and a resident of New Orleans, LA. Silvina was a retired cook of the Orleans Parish School Board. She was a member of Jerusalem COGIC, where she served as Mother of the Church. Beloved wife of the late Luther Wilson. Loving mother of Edward Johnson, Larry Johnson, Alvin Johnson, and Francell Johnson. Daughter of the late Gaines Ryans and Mary Jane Ross. Sister of Arbizean Portis and the late Gaines “GS” Ryans, Willie Mack Ryans, Leavator Ryans, and Gloria V. Casey. Silvina is also survived by a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of Jerusalem COGIC and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Homegoing Celebration at Jerusalem COGIC, 3802 Martin Luther King Blvd. New Orleans, LA on Monday, June 21, 2021 at 10:00a.m. Pastor Cedric Wilson, officiating Visitation will begin at 9:00a.m. until service time at the church.
