SHERMAN LEE WEARY, SR.

Sherman Lee Weary entered eternal rest on Friday, March 7, 2025, at the age of 62. He was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Marrero, LA. Sherman was a graduate of L B Landry High School and Louisiana Tech University. He was employed as an accountant for Ernest D. Kelly LLC. Sherman was a faithful member of Second Zion Baptist Church of Marrero, where he was a founding member of the Nehemiah Ministry. Beloved husband of Sheila Weary. Devoted father of Shinetal Weary and Sherman Weary. Grandfather of Seionna Weary. Son of Benny (Laura) Guy and the late Lousendy Guy. Grandson of the late Willie Mae Guy, and Lillie Mae Jackson. Brother of Nemyra (Lee) Newell, Deandra Guy, Barry (Monique) Guy, Troy Guy, and the late Benny Earl Weary. Brother in law of Ernest Kelly, Tim (Tanya) Kelly, Terrence (Burnetta) Kelly, Sr., Tracy Kelly, Sr., Keldrich Kelly, Estelle (Alan) Williams, Janet (Derick) Young, and Trinetta (Kieth) McKinney, also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Relatives and friends of the family also pastors, officers, and members of Second Zion Baptist Church, and neighboring churches; members of Gamma Rho Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Inc, Jugs Social Club Inc, and Krewe of NOMTOC are invited to attend the Celebration of Life at Second Zion Baptist Church 6520 Second Zion Ave. Marrero, LA on Friday March 21, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. Bishop James Nelson Brown officiating.
