SHEILA THORNTON LEE

Sheila Thornton Lee, age 75, entered peacefully into eternal rest at her residence on Sunday, February 26, 2023. She was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Missouri City, TX. Sheila received an Associates in Science Degree from Delgado Community College in 1981. She was employed as an accounting professional with Shell Oil Company for over 25 years prior to her retirement. Devoted mother of Tanya D. Lee, Dawn Lee (Gary Mark) Majors, and Edward Lee III.  Loving grandmother of Gabrielle Milan Majors. Daughter of the late Henry Thornton and Alice Thomas. Granddaughter of the late Joseph R. Thomas, Emily Zenon Thomas, Albert Thornton and Lubertha Roberson Thornton. Sister of Supt. Keith E. Thornton, Sr., Rickey Barnes, Missionary Darnella Thornton Lambert, Peggy Thornton, and Keacha Barnes. Niece of the late Clara Thomas, Gloria Thomas, Audrey McCray, Shirley Thornton Leonard, Ceolia Thornton Porter, Mary Thornton Keiffer, Joseph R. Thomas, Jr., and Alfred Thornton. Also cherishing her memories are a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.  Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of Thompson Temple Church of God In Christ, Living Word Family Worship Center, and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Homegoing Celebration at Thompson Temple Church of God In Christ, 1515 Whitney Avenue, Gretna, LA on Saturday, March 11, 2023, at 10:00a.m. Supt. Keith E. Thornton, Sr., officiating. Viewing will be held from 8:30a.m.-10:00a.m. ONLY at the above-named church.
