SHAUNNA CARTER

Shaunna Michelle Carter departed this life at West Jefferson Medical Center on Saturday, October 29, 2022, at the age of 60. She was a native of Gretna, LA and a resident of Harvey, LA. Shaunna was a 1997 graduate of Nick Randazzo’s Vocational Training Institute. She was employed with Ignatius Residence as a certified nursing assistant. She was also cofounder and a member of The Unlimited Pleasuregurlz and Jus Chill Social and Pleasure Clubs. Beloved wife of Timmy Carter. Loving mother of Garrard V. Terry, Christopher M. Terry, and Marcus A. Terry. Daughter of Ulysses Van Court and the late Andrea J. Van Court. Granddaughter of the late Felton and Yvonne Raphael. Sister of Ulysses (the late Alicia) Douglas, Detdra N. (Clarence) Jones, Rosily Van Court, and Channing Van Court (Jamal) Meggs. Mother-in-law of Teon Terry; also survived by 6 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Davis Mortuary Service, 230 Monroe St. Gretna, LA on Saturday, November 12, 2022, at 10:00a.m. Visitation will begin at 8:30a.m. until service time at the parlor.
