Shannon Eileen Collins departed this life at her residence on Tuesday July 6, 2021 at the age 55. She was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Harvey, LA. Shannon was a 1985 graduate of Booker T. Washington High School and continued her studies at Rutledge College. She was employed for over 30 years as a Certified Nursing Assistant. Shannon was an avid New Orleans Saints fan, who enjoyed cheering for hometown team. Devoted mother of Renell Collins and Terrance Collins. Grandmother of Kentrell Harrison and Khloe Favorite.  Daughter of the late Leander Young and Gladys Collins. Granddaughter of the late Kermit and Jessie Collins. Sister of Donis Calloway. Aunt of Cedrica Price, Rinieca Calloway, John Collins and the late Kevin Collins. Niece of the late Charles Collins, Clinton Collins, Frank Collins, Ada Williams, Ana Collins, and Matilda Howard. Loving godmother Maya Calloway, whom she was instrumental in rearing and loved as a daughter.  Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Service at DAVIS MORTUARY SERVICE, 6820 WESTBANK EXPRESSWAY MARRERO, LA on Friday, July 16, 2021 at 10:00a.m. Visitation will begin at 9:00a.m. until service time.
