SARAH LEE DAVIS

Sarah Lee Davis entered into eternal rest on Sunday, March 28, 2021 at the age of 90. She was a native of Hermanville, MS and a resident of Marrero, LA. Sarah was a retired conservator / custodian with the Jefferson Parish School System and a cook for Schnell Restaurant. Devoted mother of Coranella D. Johnson, Clothilda Davis, Bobby Davis, Lisha D. (Vernon) Batiste, Malissa D. (James) Scott, Sarah Louise Davis, and the late Darnell Williams, Albert Williams, Henry James Williams, and Dorothevia W. Jackson. Daughter of the late Columbus and Melissa Davis. Granddaughter of the late Ras and Ruth Smith. Sister of Sylvester (Paulette) Davis, Lenair Davis, Lee Jerome (Geraldine) Davis, Lorenzo Davis, Laura Delle Houston, Merlean Compton, and the late Rogers Davis, Sr., Garland Davis, and Leatha D. Lynch. Sister in law of Gloria Smith Davis, also survived by 25 grandchildren, and a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of New Light Baptist Church, New Salem Church of Christ Holiness, Vineyard Ministries, St. Stephen Missionary Baptist Church and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Funeral Service at St. Stephen Missionary Baptist Church, 1738 L. B. Landry Ave. New Orleans, LA on Saturday, April 3, 2021 at 10:00a.m.  Pastor Norman Francis, Host Pastor, Pastor Gregory Davis officiating.  Viewing will be held from 8:30a.m. -10:00a.m. at the church.  Interment: Woodlawn Park Memorial Cemetery-Westwego, LA.
