Rutha Lee Jordan transition peacefully with God and her loved ones to her heavenly home on Monday, July 17, 2023, at the age of 75. She was a native of Amite, LA and a resident of New Orleans, LA. Loving mother of Cassandra (Eric) Smith, Mark Jordan, and Tara (Reginald) Dantzler and the late Andrew Jordan Jr, Robert Jordan Sr, and DeMarcus Jordan Sr. Beloved daughter of the late Willis Woolridge and Mattie Lee Knighten Woolridge. Granddaughter of the late Fernando and Maggie Woolridge, William and Mary Knighten. Devoted sister of Willis, Jr., and Ernest Woolridge, Peggy Cole, Diane Harrington, Willie Ann Woolridge, Lynette Peters, and Kathy Alexander. Rutha is also survived by one daughter-in-law Gabriel Miles-Jordan, twenty-two grandchildren, and a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of St. Stephen Missionary Baptist Church and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Celebration of Life at St. Stephen Missionary Baptist Church 1738 L. B. Landry Ave New Orleans, LA on Friday, July 28, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. Pastor Norman Francis, host pastor; Pastor Puttman, officiating. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. until service time at the church. Interment: Woodlawn Park Memorial Cemetery, Westwego, LA. Arrangements by Davis Mortuary Service 230 Monroe St. Gretna, LA.
