RUTH HAYES MARTIN

Ruth Hayes Martin entered into eternal rest on Tuesday August 17, 2021, at the age of 86. She was a native of Orrville, AL and a resident of Marrero, LA. Ruth was retired cook with Log Cabin and DaWabbit. Beloved wife of the late Haille Martin, Sr. Devoted mother of Shirley Hayes, Yvonne (Ronald) Gardet, Clarence (Lolitha) Cotton, Patrice Hatten, Haille, Sr. (Christine), Herbert (Kendra), David (Andrea), of Iowa City, IA, and Jerrelyn Martin, and the late Geraldine Broome, Willie Cotton, and Martin “Russell” Hatten. Daughter of the late Sidney Hayes and Viola Louise Hayes. Granddaughter of the late Elisha and Mary Watts. Sister of Sidney (the late Ella Mae), Robert, Elijah, and Willie James (Genieve) Hayes, all of Detroit, MI, Elder Sadie (the late Rev. Roosevelt) Mason, and Roberta (the late Leroy) Moore, also survived by 23 grandchildren, 40 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives. RUTH Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of Mount Calvary International Worship Center and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Mount Calvary International Worship Center, 1600 Westwood Dr. Marrero, LA on Friday, August 27, 2021, at 11:00a.m. Apostle Terry Gullage, Sr., officiating. Visitation will begin at 9:00a.m. until service time at the church. Interment: Restlawn Park Cemetery-Avondale, LA.
