ROSEMARY WILLIAMS CEASAR

Rosemary Williams-Ceasar, age 82, transitioned peacefully into eternal rest on Thursday, October 26, 2023, at Ochsner Medical Center Westbank. She was a native of Basile, LA and a resident of Harvey, LA. Rosemary was a graduate of William W. Stewart High School in Basile, LA and Phillips Junior College of Marrero, LA. She was a retired Outpatient Clerk of West Jefferson Medical Center. Rosemary was also Co-Owner of Felix’s Lounge and Ceasar’s Place in Gretna, LA. Before relocating to the Westbank of Jefferson Parish, Rosemary was an active member and Sunday School Secretary of Greater Golden Light Baptist Church of Basile, LA. She later became a member of Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church in Marrero, LA, where she served as a deaconess and with other ministries in the church. As a member of MGC Eastern Star, she was Matron of Mt. Pilgrim #35. Beloved wife of Adam Ceasar, Jr. Devoted mother of Christopher (Karen) Ceasar, Gabriel (Giselle) Ceasar, Sr., Jarrod (Kianta) Ceasar, Sr. and Michael (Diedre) Pitre. Grandmother of the late Gabriel Ceasar, Jr. Daughter of the late Clarence Mose Williams and Rose Williams-Blount. Sister of the late Anna Mae Richardson. Aunt of Nettie Mae (Donald) Whittingham, Geraldine Ceasar, and the late Elzy Richardson, and Larry Ceasar. Also cherishing her memories are 12 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church, Greater Golden Light Baptist Church of Basile, LA and all neighboring churches; members of Table One Social and Pleasure Club are invited to attend a Wake Service at Davis Mortuary Service, 230 Monroe Street Gretna, LA on Thursday, November 2, 2023, from 5pm-8pm. Homegoing Celebration on Friday, November 3, 2023 at Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church, 1000 Walkertown Way, Marrero, LA at 10:00a.m.  Pastor Thomas J. Brown, Jr., officiating. Viewing will be held from 8:30a.m.-9:50a.m. ONLY. Funeral Service will be held at Greater Golden Light Baptist Church, 2403 Basile Eunice Hwy, Basile, LA on Saturday, November 4, 2023, at 11:00a.m. Visitation will begin at 8:00a.m. until service time. Interment: Greater Golden Light Baptist Church Cemetery, Basile, LA.
