ROLAND RICHARD, SR.

Roland M. Richard, Sr. entered peacefully into eternal rest at HCA Houston Healthcare Conroe on Monday, March 18, 2024, at the age of 81. He was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Conroe, TX. Roland retired after many years of employment with Texaco as a Senior Mail Clerk. He was also the former owner of Freda’s Fine Foods in Gretna, LA. Beloved husband of the late Alfreda Richard. Devoted father of Brein Richard, Kim Simmons, Roland (Shannon) Richard Jr., Gaynel Richard (Dennis) Victoriano, and Kirk (Olivia) Richard. Loving grandfather Travis, Curtis III, Kristal, Roshad, Nadia, Jackie, and Kirk Jr. Great grandfather of Tyler, Trevor, Mali, Cali, Emma, and Robert “Alex”. Son of the late Joseph and Molly Richard. Brother of Reginald Richard, Jeffery Richard, Jerry Richard, Peter Richard, and the late Harold, Frederick, Lollice, Calvin, Marilyn, and Beverly Richard. Also cherishing his memories are a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also priest, and parishioners of St. Cletus Catholic Church and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Davis Mortuary Service, 230 Monroe Street, Gretna, LA on Tuesday, April 2, 2024, at 10:00a.m. Pastor Ernest Weber, officiating. Visitation will begin at 8:30a.m. until service time at the parlor. Interment: Christian Social Cemetery-Gretna, LA
