RODNEY JOSEPH ANDRY, SR

Rodney Joseph “Sonny” Andry, Sr., entered into eternal rest on Friday, December 27, 2024, at the age of 91. He was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Harvey, LA. Rodney was a proud graduate of L.B. Landry High School. Mr. Andry honorably served his country in the United States Navy where he demonstrated courage and commitment. He was a retired Captain with the New Orleans Civil Sheriff Office. Beloved husband of the late Claire Lucineo Andry. Loving father of Jacinto (Vanessa) Andry, Belinda (Edward) Odums, Steven (Mary) Andry, Sr., Bridget (David) Perkins, and Mark (Juana) Andry, Sr., also survived by 15 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild, and a host of nieces, nephews, godchildren, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastor, officers, and members of House of Refuge Apostolic Church, and all neighboring churches; employees of the New Orleans Parish Civil Sheriff Office are invited to attend the Celebration of Life at House of Refuge Apostolic Church 3160 General Meyer Ave. New Orleans, LA on Saturday, January 4, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. Bishop Edward L. Odum officiating. Visitation will begin at 8:30 a.m. at the above-named church. Interment: Westlawn Cemetery-Gretna, LA. Arrangements by Davis Mortuary Service, 230 Monroe St. Gretna, LA.
