RODERICK LAMONT MACK

Roderick Lamont Mack, age 57, transitioned peacefully at his residence on Saturday, March 30, 2024. He was a native of Bridgeton, NJ and resident of his beloved New Orleans, LA during the last 14 years. “Lamont”, as he is affectionately known to family and friends, was a lifelong carpenter who was loved by many. Lamont brought joy to so many people through his charismatic charm and infectious nature to make others laugh. Lamont leaves to cherish his memory, his beloved companion of 28 years Melissa. Loving father of Kierston (Schane), India, Alexis, Terrel (Erica), Ashton, and the late Roderick. Stepfather of Donnie. Bonus father of Isheena. Son of James Mack and the late Lynette Harris-Still and Stanley Spikes. Grandson of the late Sol and Mary Harris.  Brother of James Jr. “Jamebo”, Tim (Sharon), Paul, James “Corky”, Stanley, Jimesha, and Stacy. Also cherishing his memories are 17 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a visitation at Davis Mortuary Service, 6820 Westbank Expressway, Marrero, LA on Tuesday, April 9, 2024,10:00a.m.-12:00p.m. Visitation will be lived streamed for distant family and friends from 10:00a.m.-11:00a.m. Eastern Time).
