Robert Lutner Thomas III

Robert “Champ” Lutner Thomas III departed this life at his residence on Saturday, September 9, 2023, at the age of 63. He was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Westwego, LA. “Champ”, as he was affectionally know to family and friends, was a graduate of Walter L. Cohen Senor High School. He was formerly employed as a laborer. He was a veteran of the United States Navy. Beloved son of the late Robert Lutner Thomas, Jr. and Irene W. Thomas. Loving brother of Velma Thomas (Melvin) Loria of Los Angeles, CA, Gwendolyn Norwood Shields, Beverly Norwood Blount, Barbara Norwood (Joseph, Jr.) Williams of Lutcher, LA, and the late Arthur Lee Holmes, Michael David Thomas, Sonya Norwood Young, and Elaine Thomas Varnado. Uncle of James McClain, Damian Williams, Sr., Jonathan Blount, Charlotte Norwood, Karen Williams, and Brie Williams; also survived by a host of other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a Memorial Celebration of Life Service at Davis Mortuary Service, 6820 Westbank Expressway Marrero, LA on Wednesday, September 20, 2023, at 10:00a.m.
