RICHARD JONES, SR.

Richard Jones, Sr. entered eternal rest on Friday, October 27, 2024, at the age of 68. He was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Marrero, LA. Richard was a graduate of West Jefferson High School, and he served his country in the United States Marine Corps for 6 years. He received his love for cooking in the military and pursued a culinary degree from the University of Holy Cross. Beloved father of Carmelisa (Dalton) Baptiste, Richard (Jamisha) Jones, Jr., Rishonda (Patrick) Jones, Lynette Gray, Christopher Collins, Richardo Collins, and Zarie Gums. Grandfather of Tierra, Tyrone, Jr., Jiaya, Kandence, TJ, Passion, Aniya, Amyri, Paityn, Ma’lani, Mason, Serenity, and Marcelleous. Son of the late Edward J. and Ethel May Jones, Jr. Brother of the late Patrick, Edward, Gregory, Gerald, Jerome, and Keith Ray Jones, and Lisa Ann Jones McDonald, also survived by 4 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to a Celebration of Life at Davis Mortuary Service 6820 Westbank Expressway Marrero, LA on Wednesday, November 13, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. Visitation will begin at 8:30 a.m. at the parlor.
