Phyllis Gilmore Nelson departed this life on Sunday, February 19, 2023 at the age of 56. She was a native of New Orleans and a resident of Marrero, LA. Beloved wife of Clyde Louis Nelson. Loving mother of David Leon Gilmore. Daughter of the late Willie H. Gilmore, Sr. and Susan D. Gilmore. Sister of Willie H. Gilmore, Patricia G. (Rudolph) Walter and Geraldine Gilmore; also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Celebration of Life at DAVIS MORTUARY SERVICE, 6820 WESTBANK EXPRESSWAY MARRERO, LA on Saturday, March 4, 2023, at 10:00a.m. Visitation will begin at 8:30a.m. until service time at the above-named parlor.
