Patricia Darensburg James, age 70, entered into eternal rest at University Medical Center on Tuesday, September 13, 2022. She was a native and resident of New Orleans, LA. Patricia was a 1970 graduate of L. B. Landry High School and continued her education at Northwood University in Michigan, where she received her Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration. In 1995, Patricia obtained her Master of Science in Management from Troy State University. She was a member of Life Center Ful Gospel Cathedral. Beloved wife of the late Herbert Green and Michael E. James. Devoted mother of Armise C. (Melody) Jackson and the late Trachell Patrice Jackson. Loving grandmother of Armise C. Jackson, Jr., Tylan, and Tamahj Matthews. Daughter of the late Lawrence McClendon and Virginia Mitchell. Sister of Joyce Mitchell, Adrienne Mitchell (Ronald) Reed, and the late Burnell W. Darensburg, Jr., June Darensburg Roberts, Lola McClendon McZeal, and Lois McClendon Butler. Patricia is also survived by her former husband Roosevelt Jackson, her godchildren, and a host of aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of Life Center Full Gospel Cathedral, Ephesians Missionary Baptist Church, and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Funeral Service at DAVIS MORTUARY SERVICE, 230 MONROE STREET GRETNA, LA on Saturday, September 24, 2022, at 10:00a.m. Visitation will begin at 8:30a.m. until service time.
