PASTOR GREGORY ANTONIO THOMAS

Pastor Gregory A. Thomas finished his earthly journey on Saturday, July 8, 2023, at the age of 44. He was a native of Jefferson Parish and a resident of Oklahoma City, OK. Rev. Thomas was a graduate of Langston University where he received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English. While at Langston he became a member of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity.  He was pastor of Bethel A.M.E. Church in Chandler, OK, and an elementary school teacher. Loving husband of Lynette Thomas.  Beloved son of Brenda T. Brue and the late Jesse W. Brue. Grandson of the late Audrey Thomas, Lawrence Brue, Sr., and Ethel Brue.  Brother of Eddie Thomas, Selina Brue, Jesse W. (Taurian) Brue, Jr., Jessica Brue, Rashakka Hanson of Houston, TX, and the late Tynia L. Thomas. Uncle of Trashon Harris, Aquaisha Thomas, Tynia Whitley, Frank Brue, Jesse W. Brue, III, Rashad Brue, J’Ron Brue, Christopher Course, Chloe Course, Chayse Course, and the late Terius Brue. Great uncle of Nahzyr Thomas and Braxton Whitley. Rev. Thomas is also survived by Lester and Dr. Joann Clarke, and Dr. Jean Bell Manning, whom he considered as his second parents. Also cherishing his memories are a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers and members of True Hope Ministries are invited to attend the Funeral Service at True Hope Ministries, 1228 Cohen Street Marrero, LA on Saturday, July 22, 2023, at 10:00a.m.Pastor Laurie Sonnier, host pastor; Dr. Glenda Williams, officiating.
