Otis Walter Jordan, Sr., age 96, entered into eternal rest at Touro Infirmary on Friday, April 4, 2025. He was a native of Hickory, MS, a former resident of Harvey, LA, and presently residing in New Orleans, LA. Otis attended Harris High School in Hickory, MS. He was a retired Pipe Fabricator with Pipe Distributors of Houston, TX. Beloved husband of the late Dorothy Jordan. Devoted father of Sharon Jordan Galloway, Barbara Jordan-Hooper, Terry Jordan, Norma Jordan, Sandra Jordan Mims, Gregory Jordan, Sr., Carolyn Jordan, Thelia Jordan, and the late Linda White, Otis Jordan, Jr. and Darrell Jordan, Sr. Grandfather of the late Carl Jordan. Great grandfather of the late Charles Sawyer and Amilian Jordan. Son of the late Wilken Milton Jordan and Lola Mae Jimmerson Jordan. Loving brother of Mary F. Burnett, Mattie Rudd, Roshell Bogan, and the late Mae Ella, Ruby Jean, Wiley, Alton, Lawrence, and Henry Jordan. Son-in-law of the late Gregory Hooper, Sr. Father-in-law of Joann S. Jordan, Lawrence Galloway, and Ronald Mims; also survived by 31 grandchildren, 64 great grandchildren, 11 great great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers and members of St. Stephen Missionary Baptist Church and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Homegoing Service at St. Stephen Missionary Baptist Church, 1738 L. B. Landry Avenue, New Orleans, LA on Saturday, April 19, 2025, at 10:00a.m. Pastor Norman Francis, officiating.
