Orlando Shelly

Orlando Shelly transitioned into eternal rest with his heavenly father at his residence on Sunday, October 20, 2019 at the age of 58. He was a native of New Orleans, LA, a former resident of Fort Worth, TX for 13 years after Hurricane Katrina, and presently residing in Avondale, LA. Beloved son of Beverly Shelly Tucker and the late Clifford Donald Shelly. Grandson of the late Willie and Rosa Dixon, Clifford and Anita Shelly. Great-grandson of the late Allen and Leona Williams. Loving brother of Darryl (Nanette) Shelly, Andre (Nicole) Shelly, Clifford Shelly (Sonya), Darrell Clayton, Ivan Weber, Brandon Shelly, Nichele (Shawn) Fleming, Nicole Clayton, and Nigena (Eugene) Anderson. Devoted cousin and godfather of Tieara Javery, whom he loved as a daughter. Godfather of Timothy, Rashad, Taj, Isaac, Thyiem, Terry, Heidi, and Heather. Great nephew of Magnolia Smith. Nephew of Geraldine Williams; he was preceded in death by 9 aunt and 8 aunts. Cousin of Yvette, Carmen, Ursula, Wanda, and Shelia; also survived by a host of other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of St. Paul Spiritual Church and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Funeral Service at DAVIS MORTUARY SERVICE, 230 MONROE STREET GRETNA, LA on Tuesday, October 29, 2019 at 10:00a.m. Pastor Brian Lewis, officiating.
