ONEAL TATE

Oneal Tate, age 72, entered peacefully into eternal rest at his residence on Friday, January 19, 2024. He was a native of Westwego, LA and a resident of Houston, TX. Oneal retired from Delta Commodities after 26 years as a Lead Operator. Beloved husband of the late Sherry Lee Tate.  Devoted father of Marvin (Rhudonna), Ron (Robin), and Shannon (Treionna) Tate, Keenya (Charles) Turner, and the late Nachonda Tate. Son of the late Obie Tate and Melvina Brown Tate. Grandson of the late Gussie Turner, Obie Tate, Sr., and Octavia Brown. Loving brother of Calvin (Gilda), Obie (Beverly), Calbernet (Wanda), and Ivy Tate, Juanita Morton, Rita Tate, and the late Alvin (Jenny) Tate. Oneal is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, ana a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of True Hope Ministries, Mount Calvery, Harvest Time of Houston, TYX and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Homegoing Celebration at True Hope Ministries, 1228 Cohen St. Marrero, LA on Saturday, February 3, 2024, at 10:00a.m. Visitation will begin at 8:30a.m. until service time at the church.
