Omega Berry Jones

Omega B. “Putt” Jones, 65, transitioned to her heavenly home on Friday, November 8, 2019 at the her residence. She was a native and resident of New Orleans, LA until evacuating for Hurricane Katrina where she relocated to Houston, TX. Loving wife of 27 years to Robert B. Jones, Jr. Devoted mother of Lucius Sr. (Martine), James (Nikki), Shantell, Omega, Miranda (Cory), and Amanda (Ifeanyi). Through marriage she was blessed with 5 additional children Robert III (Desaireese), Byron, Rodrick (Sharon), Kersandra (Wayne), and Leslie (Sarah). Daughter of the late Robert Sr. and Eula Johnson. Sister of Eula (Edward), Eliza (Leslie), Glendon, Nelson, (the late Anne Marie), Bernell, and the late Martha (Leroy), Rose, Sharlina, and Robert Jr., (Shigeko). Lifelong best friend of Cynthia Nash; also survived by 28 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Service at DAVIS MORTUARY SERVICE, 6820 WESTBANK EXPRESSWAY MARRERO, LA on Monday, November 18, 2019 at 10:00a.m. Visitation will begin at 8:30 a.m. until service time at the above named parlor.
