OLANDER ALEXANDER

Olander Alexander entered into eternal rest at Ochsner Medical Center Main Campus on Saturday, May 11, 2024, at the age of 56. She was a native of Westwego, LA and a resident of Gretna, LA. Olander attended Higgins High School and was employed as a housekeeper with Wynhoven Community Care Center. Devoted mother of Damian (DeLisa) Alexander, Sr. and Monique (Thaddeus, Sr.) Quarles. Loving grandmother of Dyante Alexander, Damian Alexander, Jr., Thaddeus Quarles, Jr., Taliyah Sanchez, Donovan Alexander, and Damani Alexander.  Daughter of the late Harry Alexander, Sr. and Mildred Alexander Lewis. Granddaughter of the late Audrey Lee Dixon and Samuel Eugene. Beloved sister of Harry Alexander, Henry Simmons, Jeanette Pike, Lorena Vedor, Patrice Nellon, Felita Alexander, and Alexis Simmons; also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Celebration of life at Davis Mortuary Service, 6820 Westbank Expressway, Marrero, LA on Thursday, May 23, 2024, at 10:00a.m. Visitation will begin at 8:30a.m. until service time at the parlor. Interment: Woodlawn Park Memorial Cemetery-Westwego, LA.
