NOEL RIVERS, III

Noel Rivers, III entered eternal rest on Monday, February 12, 2024, at the age of 66. He was a native and resident of New Orleans, LA. Noel was a graduate of L. B. Landry Junior/ Senior High School. He was employed with Orleans Parish Sheriff Department as a Human Resources Recruiter. Noel was a faithful member of the St. Stephen Missionary Baptist Church. Beloved husband of Thecla “Tess” Blaise Rivers. Devoted father of Cherell Rivers, Tiann Sims, and Noel, IV.  Son of the late Noel Rivers, Jr., and Bernadette Colar Simeon. Brother of the late Mona Lisa Simeon, Adrianne Thompson, and Willard Simeon. Uncle of the late Nicolette Thompson Grind, Kena Simeon, and Justin Rivers, Sr. Son in law of Lena Manchester Blaise and Ervin Blaise, Sr. (Elizabeth). Brother in law of Ervin Blaise, Jr. (Claria), Medrick Blaise, Terrance Sino, Judith Blaise, MD., and Janell Davis, also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family also pastors, officers, and members of St. Stephen Missionary Baptist Church, and neighboring churches; employees of Orleans Parish Sheriff Dept, Lockheed Martin, and Pan American Life Insurzance Group; members of All State Sugarbowl are invited to attend a visitation at Davis Mortuary Service 230 Monroe St. Gretna, La on Friday March 1, 2024, from 5:00p.m. until 8:00p.m. Celebration of Life will be held at St. Stephen Missionary Baptist Church, 1738 L. B. Landry Ave. New Orleans, LA on Saturday, March 2, 2024, at 10:00a.m.  Pastor Norman N. Francis. officiating. Viewing will begin at 8:30a.m. at the above named church.
