MOSE HOUSTON

Mose Houston departed this life at Ochsner Medical Center Westbank on Tuesday, October 5, 2021, at the age of 79. He was a native of Copiah, MS and a resident of Westwego, LA. Beloved husband of the late Rosemary Cooper Houston. Devoted father of Terri Houston (Willie), Debra “Lynn” Thompson (Donald), Gina Washington (Lawrence), Moses Houston, Jr., Ernest Lee Houston (Cheryl), and the late Shirley Hawkin and Faye Cooper.  Beloved son of the late James Houston, Sr. and Missie Frazier Houston. Brother of Rev. James Houston, Jr.; also survived by 24 grandchildren, 41 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Service at DAVIS MORTUARY SERVICE, 6820 WESTBANK EXPRESSWAY MARRERO, LA on Thursday, October 14, 2021, at 10:00a.m. Pastor Samuel Green of Remnant Church Kingdom Ministries of Algiers, LA, officiating.  Visitation will begin at 9:00a.m. until service time at the above named parlor.
