Mickey M. Daniels Williams entered eternal rest on Saturday, April 1, 2023, at the age of 80. She was a native of New Orleans, LA and resident of Bridge City, LA. “Big Mic”, as she was affectionately known to family and friends, received her certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant from American School of Nursing. Mickey worked in the medical field and continued to pursue many other accomplishments throughout the years. In 2005, after Hurricane Katrina, she moved to Long Beach CA where she joined New Commandment Baptist Church in Paramount CA. While in California she enrolled in computer literacy courses and earned her certification certificate. Mickey enjoyed being the life of the party, feeding her community, and speaking on how good the Lord was. Devoted mother of Darryl Daniels, Wendy (Donald) Porter, Alton (Samantha) Williams, Jr., Rosalind Williams-Douglas, Seanna Williams-Wooden, Felton (TiAsia) Williams, Jr., and the late Theresa W. Jeanpierre, and Kevin Daniels. Grandmother of the late Damien Coestly and Dominique Williams Porch. Daughter of the late Elmo E. Daniels, Sr. and Katie Daniels. Sister of Charles E Daniels, Charlotte Skinner, Elmo Daniels, Jr., Yvonne Christian, Tyrone King, Joyce King, Bernita Broussard, April Henry, and the late Shirley Rhea. Godmother of Cindy Broussard and Dwana Phillips. Former wife of Alton Williams Sr., also survived by 31 grandchildren, 49 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastor officers, and members of Second Salvation Baptist Church and neighboring churches are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Second Salvation Baptist Church, 212 Marrero Street Bridge City, LA on Saturday, April 15, 2023, at 10:00a.m. Visitation will begin at 8:30a.m. at the above-named church.
