MICHELLE MARIE MCGREW

Michelle “Shelly” McGrew entered into eternal rest on Sunday, April 16, 2023, at the age of 47. She was a native and resident of New Orleans, LA.  “Shelly”, as she was affectionately known by family and friends, was a graduate of L.B. Landry Senior High School. She was employed with worked at Deanie's Seafood New Orleans French Quarter location. Michelle enjoyed spending time with her family, co workers, and cooking, she also loved to decorate and listen to the Southern Soul Blues.  Loving Mother of Brandon McGrew and Amire' Franklin.  Daughter of the late Brenda Curley and Curtis Martin. Stepdaughter of Larry Williams. Granddaughter of the late Mary Louise Curlkey-Kaywood and Freddie McGrew Sr. Sisters of Desserie McGrew and Stephanie McGrew. Aunt of Devon, Randy, Ramon, Deron, Ron, Christopher, Deronta, Kemyra, and Ronnika. Great aunt of Devon Jr., Messiah, Jace, Demira, and Royalty. Aunt of Cynthia, Destiny Gwendolyn, Joyce, and Cheryl.             

Niece of Freddie and Gerald and the late Sylvester Kaywood, Jr, Lee Andrew Curley, and Kenneth Curley. Godmother of Destiny, and Umeka. Cousin of the late David L. Curley, Sr. Best friend of Chonta Hinds, also survived by a host of cousins, many relatives, and friends. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a Funeral Service at DAVIS MORTUARY SERVICE, 230 MONROE STREET GRETNA, LA on Saturday, April 29, 2023, at 10:00a.m.  Pastor George Green, Jr., officiating.
