MICHAEL DEE PENTON

Michael Dee Penton entered into eternal rest on Friday, March 17, 2023, at the age of 65. He was a native of New Orleans, LA and resident of Harvey, LA. Michael attended Southern University of New Orleans for 2 years and served his country for 4 years in the United States Army receiving several commendations.  He was a retired streetcar driver for RTA. Beloved son of the late Ozell and Linnie Gatlin Penton. Grandson of the late Ira Penton, Olivia Penton- Baleware, T.C. and Irene Gatlin. Loving brother of Anthony (Karen) Penton of Dallas, Tx., Keith Penton of MS, Deborah Peters of MS, Priscilla Penton, Shalaletia Davis, and Tabitha Penton all of LA. Michael, is also survived by 1 son, 2 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, and a  host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Davis Mortuary Service, 230 Monroe St. Gretna, LA on Friday, March 24, 2023, at 10:00a.m. Visitation will begin at 8:30a.m. at the parlor.
