MICHAEL EDMOND

Michael Edmond, Sr. entered into eternal rest at West Jefferson Medical Center on Saturday, June 19, 2021, at the age of 37. He was a native of Gretna, LA and a resident of Marrero, LA. Michael was a graduate of John Ehret High School and employed as a Produce Manager with Laborie’s. Beloved father of Laurie Edmond, and Michael Edmond, Jr. Loving son Johnny Henderson, Sr. and Alberta Edmond Henderson. Grandson of the late Hibernia Berry and Raymond Edmond. Brother of Warren (Shatara) Edmond, Kelly (Kedra) Edmond, Johnny (Evelina) Henderson, Glen Neal, Gerald (Kiona) Williams, John (Anneka) Henderson, Wanda (Donyell, Sr.) Thomas, Nekisha (Reginald) Taylor, Jessica Edmond, Marie Henderson, Gay Lynn (Joe) Jenkins, Gwen (Eddie) Gayden, Rhonda Henderson and the late Denise Henderson. Godfather of Johnivon Edmond, also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of New Sunrise Baptist Church #1 and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Funeral Service at New Sunrise Baptist Church #1, 1325 LeBoeuf St. Gretna, LA on Wednesday, June 30, 2021, at 10:00a.m. Visitation will begin at 9:00a.m. until service time at the church.
