MERLIN RAYMOND WASHINGTON

Merlin Raymond Washington entered into eternal rest on Saturday, March 12, 2022, at the age of 78. He was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Harvey, LA.  Merlin served his country in the United States Army, and he was a retired employee with the Merchant Marines as a Mechanical Engineer.  Beloved husband of Ethel Washington. Devoted father of Shenita Ramsey and Quencelia Goins. Son of the late Moses Washington and Whilemina Lewis Washington. Brother of Florel Washington, and the late Gerald Washington, also survived by 2 grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers and members of Old Zion Baptist Church, and neighboring churches are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Old Zion Baptist Church 430 N. Johnson St. New Orleans, LA on Tuesday, March 22, 2022, at 10:00a.m.  Visitation will begin at 9:00a.m. until service time at the above-named church. Interment: Will Be Private.
