MAY ROSE WALKER

May Rose “Teadoris” Walker, departed these earthly plains to be with her Heavenly Father on Saturday, October 22, 2022, at the age of 87. She was a native and resident of New Orleans, LA.  May Rose attended L. B. Landry Senior High School. She was employed with Holmes Cafeteria for 12 years and retired from Touro Shakesphere Nursing Home after serving 30 years. Beloved mother of Deborah Stewart, Donita Kinard, and Zarita Walker. Loving grandmother of Basham Johnson, Salathiel Walker, Naasson Kinard, Kristen Johnson, Keokuk Sorrells, Ebony Kinard, and the late Sakura Walker. Daughter of the late Richard Walker and Teadoris Southall. Sister of the late John Campbell, and Irvin Ambrose Anderson. May Rose is also survived by 9 great grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastor, officers, and members of Regular Baptist Church, All Saints Catholic Church, and neighboring churches; employees of Danny and Clydes (Harvey) Evergreen Supermarket (Algiers) LA, United States Navy, United States Army, and FedEx are invited to attend the Celebration of Life at Regular Baptist Church, 901 5^th St, Gretna, LA, on Saturday, November 5, 2022 at 10:00a.m. Rev. Dr. T.A. Hodge, host pastor - Rev. Roosevelt Washington, officiating. Visitation begins at 8:30a.m. until service time at the above-named church. Interment: Will Be Private.
