MAXINE LAURENT GOIRL

Maxine Laurent Goirl, a homemaker, entered peacefully into eternal rest at her residence on Thursday, May 23, 2024, at the age of 76. She was a native of Ponchatoula, LA and a resident of New Orleans, LA. Beloved wife of Herbert Goirl. Loving mother of Eldridge (Patricia) Laurent, Sr., Zeneria (Ervin) Champagne, Verlisa Martin, Adrian (Xavier) Morris, Garland Martin, Tyrus (Corey) Singleton, Keziah Martin, and the late Lemar Martin, Sr. and Niesha Martin. Grandmother of the late Byron Martin. Daughter of the late Jeffery Laurent and Ophelia Leonard Guyton. Maxine is also survived by 33 grandchildren, 38 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren, and a host of other relatives, and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of Providence Missionary Baptist Church, Fischer Community Church and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Homegoing Celebration at Fischer Community Church, 1737 L. B. Landry Avenue, New Orleans, LA on Saturday, June 1, 2024, at 10:00a.m. Pastor Lawrence St. Cyre, officiating; Pastor James Nelson Brown, host pastor. Visitation will begin at 8:30a.m. until service time at the church. Interment: Woodlawn Park Memorial Cemetery-Westwego, LA.
