Mary V. Hogan, age 85, entered peacefully into eternal rest on Wednesday, December 14, 2022, at The Suites at Algiers Point. She was a native of Marrero, LA and a resident of New Orleans, LA. Mary was a graduate of Walter L. Cohen High School, and she attended UNO to pursue a degree in nursing. She was a retired Medical Assistant of West Jefferson Medical Center. Mary was a member of St. Joseph the Worker Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults. Beloved wife of the late Aaron Hogan, Jr. Loving mother of Kavin (Marie) Hogan, Jevon Williams, and Roy Dawson, Jr. Daughter of the late James and Corrine McCoy. Sister of Raymond McCoy, Sr., Rosalie Johnson, and the late Joseph McCoy, Georgia Weber, and Elizabeth Dawson. Also cherishing her memories are 8 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also priest and parishioners of St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church, 455 Ames Blvd. Marrero, LA on Friday, December 23, 2022, at 10:00a.m. Father Sidney Speaks, celebrant. Visitation will begin at 8:00a.m., Recitation of Rosary 8:45a.m., Followed by Tribute.
